Dreams fill sleep with visions and depictions, leaving, unfortunately, for Rae it was the latter. The piece, as seen through a daunting vision/dream, centers a cow which symbolizes animal cruelty. Seen through Hindu culture, The cow’s holiness allows us to intersectionalize conversations surrounding animal cruelty, human intentions, and morality. It urges viewers to be hyperaware of how they treat’s the Earth’s gifts as well as how they fuel themselves both spiritually and literally.
